BreakThrough Blogcast - episode 21 returning guest co-host Evonne Weinhaus, therapist and co-author of A New Fearless You. Evonne joins Jaimes McNeal, creator and host of BreakThrough Blogcast, returning after a two week hiatus, with the focus this month on Breakthrough in Relationship with Your Father.
Roundtable Guests: Adam Jurotich Sr. and his father, Matthew Jurotich.
Adam, 31, a government contractor and father of three is joined by his father Matthew, 63, a paramedic/fire service battalion chief and father of eight. In this episode father and son share intimately about emotions present in their relationship and how control and anger has been the thread woven throughout their interactions over the years.
This episode is a raw and intimate conversation about what is possible when you are willing to hear and see each other differently, and how to step out of reaction mode in order to face your fears. If you have ever been wounded by your dad OR wondered what life was really like from his perspective, then this episode will provide amazing insight!

BreakThrough Blogcast - episode 19 with returning guest co-host Evonne Weinhaus, co-author of A New Fearless You. Jaimes McNeal, creator and host of BreakThrough Blogcast, is excited to have Evonne back on the show.
Evonne and Jaimes talk about their recent blogs about mothers, the topic for this month. Evonne talks about hide and seek, the premise from her book, and how we hide from fear and seek answers outside ourselves by seeking the opposite.
Roundtable Guest: Bridgette Kossor
Joining them as the roundtable guest is Bridgette, a Professional Singer/Song Writer and Plant Based Educator. Bridgette shares about the challenges she had as an adult in her relationship with her mom, and while the “adult” relationship is resolved the “child” relationship is not. Evonne’s work with Bridgette includes identifying a pattern in maternal relationships for several generations and that in order to experience compassion for others we need to start with ourselves.
This episode is about acceptance, forgiveness, understanding, letting go and redefining relationships. It is a call about compassion and hope.

BreakThrough Blogcast - episode 12 with guest co-host Janice Scherer. Janice is an up and coming artist, business partner, and best friend of Jaimes McNeal, creator/host of BreakThrough Blogcast.
Jaimes was first joined by returning co-host Evonne Weinhaus, co-author of A New Fearless You. Evonne and Jaimes checked in with Barbara Klein from Episode 5 and the result of her work with them and her challenging relationship with her mother. Barbara acknowledges that moment, looking back, as a moment when life completely changed and talks about how she is different.
In following the topic this month of Leaping into the Future, McNeal has a conversation with his good friend, Janice Scherer, about her new found confidence in her art. Janice talks about learning to trust her artistic expression and announced her first showing for October 31st, an event that will represent a breakthrough for her.
Tammy Kershner joined Jaimes and Janice as their special guest. Tammy is a Medical Research Technician in St. Louis. She is just beginning to listen to her artistic voice and talked about what it will take to move forward in expressing herself and her desire to pursue her love of art. As part of her breakthrough, Tammy has agreed to commission a piece of art by May 31.
McNeal looks forward to following up with Tammy in a later episode to hear all about her artistic journey and will be on hand personally to introduce Janice when she makes her showing debut in October.

BreakThrough Blogcast - episode 11 with returning guest co-host Evonne Weinhaus. Evonne is the co-author with Cindy Smith of the new book, A New Fearless You, to be released in two weeks. Evonne was a guest co-host on a previous episode with Jaimes McNeal, creator/host of BreakThrough Blogcast, and has been a regular commentator on the program.
The episodes this month have been about Leaping into the Future, but in this episode we actually take a look back at the past and welcomed some of our previous guests who shared their lives and their stories to get an update.
Tiffany Sonnier was a guest in Episode 6 and talked about past relationships and being afraid to go to the next level. Debbie Volmert was with us on Episode 9 when she shared about her miscarriages and what that means going forward. Both guests have had remarkable breakthroughs as a result of the work done on their respective calls.
McNeal is looking forward to checking in again in a later show with Debbie and Tiffany and also with some of our other favorite guests who were unable to make this call. Evonne remarked how much she enjoyed the follow up, finding it fun and rewarding. “It’s nice to see how these people have traveled.”

BreakThrough Blogcast - episode 6 with featured co-host Evonne Weinhaus, as she helps us continue February's discussion topic: A Breakthrough in Creating Loving Relationships.
Tiffany openly shares her struggles in her past relationships. She discovers her fear of being invisible as the mask preventing her from finding a loving relationship. She shares how she has equated love to “weathering the storms.” Evonne and Jaimes use the questions in her new book, A New Fearless You to help Tiffany create a new definition of herself. In this episode Tiffany gains insight and loses the desperate need to be noticed.

BreakThrough Blogcast - episode 5 with featured co-host Evonne Weinhaus, as they helped us kick off February's discussion topic: A Breakthrough in Creating Loving Relationships.
Barbara openly shares her struggles with her mother, but more importantly she realizes the payoff from seeing her mother as villain. Evonne and Jaimes use the questions in her new book, A New Fearless You to assist Barb in creating a loving relationship with her mom...and with her children. A powerful episode for anyone who is wrestling with the idea of forgiving their parents.

Books, DVD's, Websites and CD's
Here are some resources that may prove useful and have profoundly impacted my life. Note, I listed them in the order I discovered them rather than alphabetically.
BOOKS
Wishcraft by Barbara Sher
A unique step-by-step plan to pinpoint your goals and make your dreams come true.
I Could Do Anything If I Only Knew What It Was by Barbara Sher
How to discover what you really want and how to get it.
I cherish Barbara Sher's work. Throughout the years whenever I needed some guidance or some direction, I would pick up her books and take myself through the exercises again. I felt as if she was sitting right next to me and we were just talking with one another.
The Artist's Way by Julia Cameron
A Spiritual Path to Creativity
Her idea of "morning pages" and "the artist date" were life-changing tools for me when I was going through a rough time. Who knew that this discipline of writing every morning was the beginning of creating the ideas that took a more solid form in A New Fearless You?
The Lightworker's Way by Doreen Virtue, Ph.D.
This is Doreen's spiritual adventure as she recounts her life story of realizing her healing and clairvoyant power.
When I read this book, I knew, not only that I wanted to write a book, but I could write another book. Her life story gave me the courage and determination to take that first step.
Thank you, Doreen Virtue. I can still remember the moment, holding your book, reading your life story and making the commitment to myself that I would write a book.
How The Way We Talk Can Change the Way We Work: Seven Languages for Transformation
by Robert Kegan and Lisa Laskow Lahey
Answers the question: why is the gap so great between our hopes, our intentions, even our desires and what we are actually able to bring about?
I had an enormous "aha" when I read this book: lo and behold, there is a direct connection between our personality styles and how we respond to fear. What a surprising moment that was for me. I was very familiar with personality styles and had taught them for years but not from this perspective.
A Change of Heart by Claire Sylvia
It is the amazing true story of one woman’s journey to save her life from a rare lung disease by having a heart-and-lung transplant and afterwards takes on the characteristics of her donor- an eighteen year old man who had just died in an motor cycle accident.
One of my most favorite reads. This book talks loud and clear about the power of the heart.
Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
One woman's search for Everything Across Italy, India, and Indonesia.
Basically, I loved Elizabeth Gilbert's writing style and wanted that kind of style for our book. With that in mind, I sent a copy to Cindy, mu co-author to see how she felt. She also loved the book and the style and from that moment on, our book became conversational in style.
DVD'S
Inner Power by Shirley Maclaine
www.shirleymaclaine.com
In 2002, when I discovered this video (now in DVD form), I had Epstein Barr and after watching it, I had more energy and felt so much better. It gave me an incredible amount of energy and I felt much better. I didn't understand what was happening and I didn't care. I just knew I felt better. Later, I realized it was my first introduction to chakras cleansing.
CD'S
Heal Your Body and Energize Your Chakras by Glenn Harrold
www.HypnosisAudio.com
Around the same time in 2002, my younger sister, Phyllis decided to go to a "New Age" bookstore and ask for an idea for a present for me. She was totally foreign to this new side of me and thought she would just ask for some expert help. The salesperson suggested this CD. At that time, the CD had two tracks- the second one was called Energize Your Chakras. Needless to say, Phyllis my sister had no idea what chakras meant but trusted the recommendation. Each of us listened to the CD -- it was the first time I truly understood, what an "altered state" meant. He taught us how to do deep breathing and literally put us in an altered state. It was great. Phyllis and I decided "we were meditating."
Soul of Healing Meditation CD by Deepak Chopra
www.chopra.com
A client gave me this CD. At first, I listened to it in the car or when I was walking at Creve Coeur Park. It was great. Then, I did something differently. I listened to it in the morning. I could experience myself moving into the meditative process and just let it unfold. It is an easy way to begin the morning for me.
